Jumbo Haddock Sharing Platter Sandwich. ( Shallow Fried )
Served on white Bloomer, Lashings of Butter, Cool Garlic Herb Mayonnaise and a Rainbow Salad.
Home made batter, shallow fried in Olive Oil for around 3 Minutes each side.
Total Cost of the Fillet was £1.10 absolutely a bargain.
The Haddock is a great option if you are on a budget. It's no different in flavour to Cod, in my opinion.
The fish is so fluffy its delicious 😋
Ingredients for my Batter
1 cup Plain flour
1 cup milk
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Your fish must be raw and not frozen, defrost it fully if its frozen.
Coat the fish in the Batter both sides, heat the oil to 160ºC add the fish to your fry pan the olive oil should only come up the fish half way, Flip the fish after 3 minutes.
Drain onto a paper towel. Lashings of salt & Vinegar.
