This is for the Foodie Folk's that want to make their own Patty,
Total cost Ā£6.65 that's 4 servings including Beans at Ā£1.66 per Serving, absolute Bargain, and delicious. You can add Fries but the burgers are so big I opted out,
Burgers
1000g Ground/Minced Pork (at least 15% fat, 20% best)
120g Fresh Breadcrumbs (Optional)
3 x Red/Sweet Apples, peeled, cored and grated on box grater, do this last as the apple will turn,
4 x large Spring Onions, finely diced
4 x tsp Dried Sage
2 x Egg
2 x tsp Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
2 x tblsp Olive Oil
4 x Brioche Buns, halved & toasted
10 slices of Gouda
Mayonnaise and BBQ Chipotle Sauce
Directions
In a large mix bowl add breadcrumbs and grated apple. Mash with a fork to allow the breadcrumbs to soak up the moisture. Add in egg, sage, onion, salt & pepper and stir again until the egg is evenly distributed. Add in pork and use your hands to bind together until everything is evenly combined. Try to not overwork the meat,
Divide mixture into 4 and mould into patty shapes Using a Burger press, Heat a drizzle of oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2-3 burgers. Fry until they begins to char on one side, then flip
add cheese slices. Continue frying until the other side browns and the centre is piping hot. This will take anywhere between 3-5mins each side depending on how thick your patties are.
Repeat with remaining patties
top with Mayonnaise BBQ Sauce Rainbow salad and following with the second patty then with the second half the bun and enjoy!
